Well my lovelies it is official. I'm moving! God willing and the creeks don't rise, as the saying goes, I'll be back in Alaska in July. Mom works until the 5th. We have house appraisal and passports and final packing but after that we're good to go. So this means after the 5th until we get set up in AK I'll probably not be online unless I can steal a few min at Jen's before we leave or Gray's after we get there.

We are driving back. ROAD TRIP! Like eight days to get there. I'm going to be sick of driving but I don't care. HOME and FRIENDS I haven't seen in five/six years. ~flails~ I am seriously fucking gleeful! ~squishes you all~

Not as neat as I'd prefer, not as messy as it can get. I tend not to use purposely made backgrounds. Mostly I just pick an image from my folders and set that as the desktop. I change images every week or so.

Here are the instructions for playing a game of Winamp that someone else has started.

1. Find a song in your music library which has at least one word in its title or artist in common with the title or artist of the last song in the chain. The following additional rules apply:

a. Different verb forms and plurals are permitted; definite and indefinite articles are not.

b. You may not repeat an artist who has already had one song posted in any given chain, nor may you post a cover or B-side of a song that has already been played.

c. Prepositions are frowned upon unless you can't make any other play.

For instance, building upon "Dream On," one could make the following plays:

"At Least We're Dreaming" // Eve 6

"I Dream an Old Lover" // Jeffrey Foucault

Or any other song that has some form of "dream" in it. That's kind of an easy one.

2. Comment to the entry or comment where Winamp was declared with a link to your song.

3. Wait for someone to play off of your song! If no one can, then you are the WINNER and get to start a new chain.

Sunday night we drove down to Aunt's. Monday, had a cook-out for the holiday with Aunt, Uncle, Jojo, Jen, Jen's BF and baby (she is getting big) and D&D. Ton of food that I mostly didn't have to cook and left overs to take home. Watched a lot of music, held the baby and talked a ton. It was fun, came home Tuesday night. Hope you guys had as much fun.

My Cousin B came up and finished digging in the yard while we were away - just out of the blue because he knew I was struggling with it. While he did that his wife mowed from the drive to the porch. Which was greatness since the grass was hip-high. (our mower had a small fire accident and is a bit... melted) It was a huge fucking surprise to come home to.

We're getting rid of our non-running van and our too small car. We might be getting cousin B's Explorer, the bestest alternative imo because B+L will sell it to us for a couple hundred instead of the couple thousand it's worth. (no, I don't feel bad about it since they got it from L's sister for the same price - less the cost of parts to fix it up. Family, people. Seriously golden.)

Busy, busy at home still. I'm not going to go in to details, I don't want to jinx it but I will say that if all goes well in a month I'll be one really, really happy girl. In the mean time Jojo might come stay for a week and if things get finished on time then I'll go stay at Aunt's for a few days/a week. I'm only up right now because the septic guy is coming this morning and Mom has to work this afternoon so I'm handling it. fun. fun. Also: It's heating up here and I don't like it, gimmie back the cold rainy weather. Yeah, I said it. Better the rain then the slow-roast of summer here. To keep my mind occupied I've been playing with my music and created the largest playlist, consisting of 80% of the music on my hard-drive. It'd be strangest too except my hd is mostly bandom music at this point (I dumped a lot of stuff so I'd have room for the bandom bands) and that goes well together. Go figure.

EMPIRES: HOWL - go download the album from their site for free. You'll like it! (and if you don't o.O all you'll have lost is a bit of time)
